The Kyocera Torque will launch on Sprint on March 8 for $99 with a new two year contract, but we were able to get an early look at the phone during Mobile World Congress. It’s rugged and is resistant against water, dust, salt fog and more, and is perfect for outdoorsy people who don’t want to worry about ruining a mobile device while climbing mountains or kayaking down a river.

The Torque runs Ice Cream Sandwich, but that’s due to limitations with push-to-talk and Jelly Bean. We imagine it will get the Jelly Bean update in the future. For now, we think this is a really nice device that anyone who needs a rugged phone will enjoy.
