Now that we know the BlackBerry Torch 2 has been revealed to be coming to AT&T, it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty of things: How does it compare to the original BlackBerry Torch?

As we promised you the other day when we showed off the BlackBerry Torch 2 video, we were coming back with a demonstration of how it stacked up against its predecessor, the BlackBerry Torch.  One thing to keep in mind as you watch the above video is that the Torch 2 is a pre-production model and some things may change, but there are some definite areas where the original model, despite a significantly slower processor, wins the day.  Of course there are also spots where it gets its pain-in-the-behind battery cover handed to it, but you’ll have to watch the video to see how the whole thing goes down.

The BlackBerry Torch 2 still hasn’t been officially announced by RIM or AT&T, and we’re not sure what is taking so long to get this show on the road.  This is the second prototype we’ve had the opportunity to play with, so it’s obviously in active development, and there is no mistaking that it is coming to AT&T when you see the slew of carrier-specific apps it has on it.  At some point we’ll see a full-on production model, we just have no clue of when that might be.

For now, bask in the warm glow of a father & son set of phones duking it  out for ultimate BlackBerry Torch supremacy.  Who is your money on?  The BlackBerry Torch, or the BlackBerry Torch 2?  Which will boot faster?  Which has the better Web browser?  Which has the better screen?  You’ll discover all of these answers and more in the video above.  Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below once you’re done.
