Digital Comics?

Hey guys its the Scoooorn and this if my first post for the Tech Bulletin! I’m really excited to bring you the news from video games, and Tech! As its my first post I think I should let you know a little more about me. I am currently 23 years old living in a lil city in Utah, and I just LOOOOVE technology. Ever since I was a lil youngster I dreamed about having amazing computers, and video game consoles. Now that I am a bit older I’ve been able to make that dream a reality. Anywho my first post is going to be about a new feature in the PSP and I hope you like it!

In Sony’s latest PSP firmware update (6.20) they added a bunch of new features. The one that really caught my eye was a digital comic service for their playstation network store. Now I don’t read comics, but my brother is a huge fan and he thought this feature was really cool. You download comics from their service, launch their player and enjoy a full comic on your PSP device. It uses a really nifty transition tool so you get to see all of the artwork and the text, it also adds effects like earthquakes which brings the comics to life.

Currently there is only 1 comic available but it is free! So if you would like to give this feature a test run go to the playstation network on your PSP and choose to redeem a code, then type in A8D2-KMBF-JKE4 this will get you a free transformers comic.

Now I’m not sure die hard comic fans will ever drop real comics in favor for a digital counterpart but still its a nice option for the tech heads out there. Also who knows this might be the wave of the future as there have been quite a few rumors about an apple tablet that would have a comic book reader in it, maybe this is just the start.

Chrome OS is Google’s light-weight, mobile OS. It runs in a cloud and is designed for net-book use Please note that this is a VERY early build of the Chrome OS and because of this, things may be damaged, buggy or not working at all. Install at your own risk! At this time, Chrome OS must be installed in a virtual machine environment, or it will not work.
