Assassin’s Creed Two Review

When the first Assassin’s Creed came out, I wasn’t the biggest fan. It had a few things wrong with it that I just did not enjoy. So when the sequel was released I can say I was a little skeptical at buying it. I actually just rented it because I heard it was so good, so I had to see it for myself.

Let me start off with this, THIS GAME IS AMAZING. The changed everything that I didn’t like in the first one and it really made this game worth the time to play. You can really tell that the developers really spent a lot of time and passion on the making of this game. Every little detail was spot on; I cannot think of a time that there was something out of place.

So the story line is that you play as Desmond Miles from the present day who is put into a device called the Animus 2.0. What this device does is it traces down a certain ancestor and actually lets the modern day person play as the ancestor. So you get sent to be Ezio Auditore Da Firenze from the Renaissance period in Italy. You have to carry out many different tasks including; races, assassinations, delivery, and much more. There is also the main story line with many different things to do throughout it.

I can say that they got the buildings and time zone set up perfectly. You really feel like you’re in the Renaissance period. They put a few landmarks in the game that are still standing today, and they look great. Each character looks fantastic as well. Each main person in the game has their own unique look and the clothes look fantastic. All the vivid colors are amazing. Ezio’s outfit is mostly red and white and I can say that playing on an HD television really makes the red pop out. It’s a very vibrant colorful game with many looks for the characters.

Sound in the game is phenomenal. Everyone sounded like they were from the Renaissance, and they all had the perfect Italian accent. As far as the environment sounds, they were spot on. When you were on a horse the galloping sounds were different when you were on different surfaces. The brick and grass had a huge difference in the sound of the hooves.

Controls for the game were simple and easy to use. There was no point in time when I was confused with the controls. There is no huge learning curve to the game, and that really made it much more enjoyable.

Overall, this game was probably one of the best games I played of 2009. There was nothing that I noticed that wasn’t right. I would recommend this game to anyone who’s looking for a new and enjoyable experience. I give this game a 10/10 and look forward to playing it for the years to come.

How to run Windows 7 x64 in Boot Camp

One great thing about having a Mac is that you can run both Mac OS X and Windows. In an earlier tutorial, http://cuthut.com/DVZ, we show you how to accomplish this. However, Windows OS’ ship in two versions, 32-bit and 64-bit mode. When going to install drivers after installing Windows using Boot Camp, most users will notice that they will get an error message, “Boot Camp x64 is not supported on this computer model”. I myself ran into this issue when installing Windows 7 x64 on my Late 2008 Aluminum MacBook. Here is an easy solution on how to solve this issue (Works for Windows XP, Vista and 7).

27″ iMac gaming - World of Warcraft

Hey guys, Scoooorn here! As many of you know I recently purchased a 27″ core i7 iMac. This machine is beautiful, and powerful. Now most people who buy PC’s want to play games on their computers. This has also been a huge debate in the mac vs PC world. PC fans have always had the advantage in the gaming world, but apple has been making strides lately, more games are coming out on apple devices, and with bootcamp any mac computer can play PC games. But can they play them well? Join me as I test out a huge variety of games. From power hungry games like Crysis, to the not so demanding counter strike source.

Lets get this started with arguably the most popular computer game ever! World of Warcraft. I had this game running on a 2560 x 1440 resolution with all settings on max. As you can see the game runs beautifully. The frames per second never dropped below 30 in highly populated areas, but averaged around 60 every where else. All in all this machine runs WOW perfectly.

If you have any suggestions for future iMac gaming posts let me know and I will do my best to get a post on it. Thanks for all the support you guys!

How to “411″ information from your cell phone for free

A great thing about dialing “411″ on your cell phone is that you can get information, phone numbers, addresses of the businesses that you are looking for. For example, Best Buy. However, the major down side to using “411″ is that most cell phone networks charge for this feature.

Google has created a free “411″ service for all types of phones called, “GOOG411″. To use GOOG411, just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 from any phone, state the location and business type, GOOG411 automatically searches Google, connect to the business and that’s it! It’s all for free too!
