Dutch Court Rules Galaxy Tab 10.1 is Not an Apple Clone

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1A court in the Netherlands has ruled that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 does not infringe on any of Apple’s patents. Apple was denied a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Tab back in August. Apple appealed that decision, which the courts decided to uphold.

The ruling comes one week before the Dusseldorf Higher Regional Court is set to hear an appeal from Samsung regarding an injunction granted to Apple. The court previously sided with Apple on the matter, granting the company a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Apple has won (and lost) a number of similar cases around the world. Due to some of those wins, Samsung created the Galaxy Tab 10.1N to help avoid infringement. Apple has also sued Samsung for the Galaxy Tab 10.1N in Germany, a case set to go to court next month.
