Images of Upcoming LG Fantasy Running Windows Phone Mango Are Leaked

A number of leaked images posted online have uncovered a new Windows Phone handset from LG which is expected to launch during the first quarter of 2012. The device is being dubbed the LG Fantasy, and it features an 8-megapixel camera, 8GB of internal storage, and a “second-generation” 1GHz processor that makes it faster than the HTC Radar.

The phone was obtained by a Romanian man who posted the images — plus some specifications — to the XDA Developers forums. According to benchmark tests run by the owner, the device is faster than the HTC Radar and “quite good for a WP7 device.”

In addition to the 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, the Fantasy also features a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling — a feature which is still uncommon on Windows Phone devices. It also includes a number of pre-installed developer applications — added by the previous owner — which the new owner is hoping to remove:

“LG Fantasy comes with WP 7.5 Mango installed, a very nice 4 inch display, IPS … awesome … but these dev apps are annoying me … please, help me! Thank you in advance!”

The LG Fantasy is expected to get its unveiling early next year, with a launch during the first quarter of 2012, according to some reports. But with one already in the wild, we expect to find out lots more about this device before LG makes it official.

Do you like the look of the LG Fantasy?
