Hey Verizon, No Galaxy S II For You! Soup, Yes.

Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-No-VerizonIt appears as though Verizon is getting the shaft rather than getting the Samsung Galaxy S II with 4G LTE. The Wall Street Journal reports that he carrier will not offer the omnipotent Galaxy S II on their menu. As further evidence that this is the real McCoy, Verizon will not be present at the New York Samsung Galaxy event on Monday, August 29th. That means I’ll be schmoozing with AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint, devoid of any Verizon love. Verizon reps have been quoted touting the carrier’s current portfolio of smartphones including the Droid Charge, and there have been reports that an alternative yet parallel device will fill the giant shoes of the Galaxy S II.

And what would that alternative be? Is Verizon banking on the Nexus Prime to be their Autobot leader of the 4G LTE persuasion? Whatever the case, we’re not concerned. Verizon might pull out a showstopper that bests the Galaxy S II, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

We’re you planning on a Samsung Galaxy S II on Verizon’s network? If so, what will your alternative be?
