Buy A Nook For School, Score Free E-Books and Study Guides

If you were thinking about picking up a Nook for school this year, Barnes & Noble is offering some free books for your device to sweeten the deal. If you purchase a Nook and register it before October 31 of this year, the bookseller will give you $100 worth of classic titles and some Spark Notes to get your studies kicked off with a bang.

Before you get too excited – Those free Spark Notes and books are determined by B&N, not you, so you won’t be able to pick up some of your books for the semester for free. You can check out the list of free titles here. There are a couple of good once, including A Tale of Two Cities, Crime and Punishment and The Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man. Spark Notes included include the notes for War and Peace, To Kill A Mockingbird and even Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (who knew you needed Spark Notes for Potter).

The new Nook is one of my favorite e-readers on the market right now, it is also a fave of my buddy and fellow Buffalo Noah. You can check out his thoughts on the reader here.

Are any of you planning on buying an e-reader for school this year?
