Steve Jobs Biography: “I’m going to destroy Android”

Steve Jobs biographyThe Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson is due for release on Monday, and advance copies are going out to the larger media outlets that are quickly disseminating its contents.

In possibly one of the most revealing passages released thus far, the Associated Press shared what Jobs told Isaacson in regards to his feelings about Android.

I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong.

Reportedly Jobs then met with former Google CEO – and, at the time, Apple board member – Eric Schmidt and informed him that there was no way for the two companies to settle this matter. “I want you to stop using our ideas in Android, that’s all I want.”

While there is no stated connection to all of the patent lawsuits we have seen as of late from Apple against Samsung, one has to assume there is some sort of connection between the comment and legal actions.

Steve Jobs will be released on October 24.
