Phones for a Penny: Galaxy S 2, Droid RAZR and more on Sale

Thank commerce for the Internet, for now you can get all of your Black Friday shopping done from home, before Black Friday, whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not. Amazon’s gone ahead and started their party early with the “Penny-Pincher Sale” on mobile phones.

Going on right now through 11:59 p.m. PDT November 28, 2011, while supplies last. Amazon’s gone ahead and slashed the prices on all AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon phones to just one penny (with free two-day shipping) when you activate a new line of service. So far as I can tell, they’re serious about the “all phones” part, too, with new, high-end releases including the Moto Droid RAZR for Verizon and Samsung Galaxy S II for Sprint both featured on the sale page.

Mobile hotspot users get the pot sweetened a bit further, as well, with Amazon offering up a $100 giftcard to anyone who buys a phone via the sale and activates the mobile hotspot feature, as well. So if you’re in the market for a new phone, it’s probably worth taking a look at Amazon’s sale before headed out to carrier shop. So long as you’re not interested in an iPhone or anything on T-Mobile; Amazon carries neither Apple mobiles nor any magenta-tinted devices.
