So today I installed linux mint in place of fedora and at first glance it looks great , but one underlying problem is that I dont have proper access to the internet for some reason when i access any sites other than google searches it will never load , so I will be getting on to fix this

Months ago I didnt thinks it was possible to connect a PC headset to your xbox for xbox live chat but it is, I told my brother to leave that turtle beach shit alone as everyone uses it and the quality isnt that amazing so I advised my brother to opt for A creative Fatal1ty headset Which was £40 from Pc world and buy a 3.5mm to 2.5mm jack which would convert the pink mic cable to a 2.5mm input to plug into the bottom of the xbox pad , this unfortunatley didnt work so I surfed the net and found a neat little gadget on ebay which Ive only ordered today which lets you do what ive been trying to do. Hey guys I downloaded Call Of Duty 4 : Reflex last night and thought I would give you my thoughts *ahem, about the game, So here goes

Firstly the graphics, Compared to PS3 and Xbox 360 which I have cod4 and cod6 on, the graphics suffer quite badly but this is just the weak hardware of the nintendo wii.

What Nintendo Wii Graphics Suffer On:

Textures ( Such as the ground,grass , walls , guns)

Detail (background effects such as lightning or fire isnt there)

Lighting (The lighting only cover the necessities of the game)

I havnt played the single player as I just wanted to check the online.

Online it still has the same maps,guns,prestiges,challenges,gun camos and killstreaks as the other versions but the online is subjected to cheating AKA Ocarina cheat codes which is easy to get away with as nintendo WiFi is not moderated from my knowledge.The online isnt half bad as in been able to find matches or what not , but in lack of skill.

Controls wise this game will be very very very tricky if you are only used to your PS3 or xbox controller because on wii it requires you to use the nunchuk and wiimote as the game doesnt support the gamecube controller. Aiming anything but fluently with the wiimote or reloading by shaking the nunchuk this game is anything but enjoyable by the controller fans out there. Its a good idea for the wii but sadly needs more work but hey I got his game for free.

Overall this game will need getting used to by all means , so out of ten this gets a 7 and thats being generous

So I come into my room , Boot up my PC , greeted with windows boot manager , select windows 7 and then the same old thing.  After researching and watching youtube videos of Chromium OS I thought “That is definately not for me” , I was looking for something that was somewhat a powerhouse OS,  Numerous months ago I successfully installed iDeneb (A Cracked Version Of Leopard) but unsuccessfully found drivers for my ethernet card so I gave up on the hackintosh idea, Next Was linux, ive only ever tried two variants of linux (Ubuntu and Kubuntu) they look different but under the hood they are pretty much the same apart from the GUI. Iwanted something that looked slicker than leopard and windows 7 which I already have. I said “DAMNNN they look sexy” compared to Macs Unix and PC’s Windows Environment. So Finally Ive opted For Fedora, Ive downloaded it, burned and hopefully have it tri-booted with the OS’s that consume mostly everyones computer (XP and 7) tommorow night.

Hopefully this may turn me from a lazy windows user into a linux power user. Even if it does I’ll Still be back into 7 to sync my iPod

Ok so Everyones been raging on about this blu-ray stuff , sayings its great the quality is better and shaming dvd, Personally I hadnt watched any form of 720p + quality films, As im one for downloading new films off torrent sites as its free and just better personally and anyone who downloads torrents will know that new releases are NEVER on Blu-ray format nevermind dvdrip qualit, So I decided “Right lets see what this Blu-ray jibba jabba is about”. So I asked around for a good action film thats looks amazing , I was told : Final Fantasy Advent Children , Im quite a fan of FF so I thought why not. I left my PC downloading a 14.4 GB 1080p H.264 file of Final Fantasy. I open up trustworthy VLC media player and open it . ANd ………. OMG !!! The japanese subtitles were as crisp as anything and the opening scene comes up and I was shocked by the quality (Mind you this film is a CGI one to add to the quality). The fighting scenes are amazing, the resolution look great. So Another Item added to the list is a Blu-ray RW. Its converted me indefinatley to blu-ray quality. So all in all , Blu-ray should now be the standard of any home entertainment. 10/10 from me
