On Novmember 5th, 2009, Telus Mobility in Canada launched the Iphone 3GS on their brand new HSPA network. I was the third person to get the iphone 3GS at my local Telus store. Having used a Blackberry Pearl 8130 for one and a half years, I was excited about the change. My contract was only half way completed, so the only way to receive the phone for $199 was to use an upgrade that another member on my bill had. If I wasn’t able to receive the Iphone for $199 it would have cost me a whopping $699, which is totally out of the question.

I’ve been wanting the Iphone since before it was launched in Canada. I bought my blackberry on the Iphones rogers launch in Canada, the plans were terrible and I was frusterated.

My days with the blackberry weren’t all bad.the Blackberry OS however, really need improving and the hardware needs upgrading. Towards the end I was battery pulling 1-2 daily.

After just 1 day with the 3GS I was beginning to miss the Blackberry’s most powerful and amazing feature, Its email. But the iphones email is not terrible, and many features like the App Store make the iphone the best phone out there, so go ahead, in your in canada and you want an iphone with a great plan, check out Telus Mobily.
