Microsoft Research puts out some pretty cool products from time to time, and Pivot definitely ranks among them. It’s an application that helps you visualize data in an elegant and intuitive way. The uses range from helping you pick out an ideal breed of dog to analyzing population statistics for a school project. Currently you can download the beta of Pivot which includes pre-populated data sets for several interesting classes of information.
