Would You Dress Like Mario for 30 Days to Win a Nintendo 3DS?
Nintendo asked fans on Facebook what they would do if they won a Nintendo 3DS. More specifically, they asked fans to complete this sentence: “When I get my hands on a Nintendo 3DS I’m going to…”
The winners of the contest each got a nice surprise package stacked with a system and several games. One winner, though, got the extra special treat of having the package hand delivered to him by Nintendo and Mario himself.
The feat this winner had to commit to if he received this brand new portable? Gustavo Valdez of San Diego, California said he would dress like Mario for 30 days.
Okay, sure, it’s a little cheesy. But, from where we stand, it’s that nice blend of nerdy, geeky and cheesy that makes this moment that much more grin inducing. Also grin inducing is knowing that the awesome Mr. Gustavo Valdez will be dressing like Mario for 30 days in a row. Hopefully he’s had the forethought to take pictures of himself each day for an absurd blog soon to turn up in a far corner of the internet.
We don’t mean to spoil the party, but Mr. Valdez could probably have simply taken a part time job working weekends for less than a month in order to afford a Nintendo 3DS. That’s probably significantly less embarassing than rocking the Mario costumes every day. Then again, the world would have been short one Mario-dressing fanatic for a full month…
Now we just don’t know what we want.
