Kid Icarus: Uprising Trailer, Screenshots, Pre-order Bonus

The next big Nintendo 3DS title from Nintendo is, undoubtedly, Kid Icarus: Uprising. Pit is one character that Nintendo fans have been asking to see brought back to life in a complete game of his own for years. As more assets come from the Big N regarding this Nintendo 3DS title, those excited for the game can glean a little more concerning what it’s all about.

The trailer above has our hero fighting massive bosses and taking part in several seemingly on-rails shooter moments. While that may be great news for some, I find myself a little less pumped about the whole experience knowing that those segments are a core component in the adventure.

Still, there’s plenty of information and media to pour over between now and this game’s eventual release date.

Nintendo announced that Kid Icarus: Uprising will be compatible with the Circle Pad Pro accessory (the one that adds a second control stick to the portable) in order to service would-be left handed gamers. Kid Icarus: Uprising requires that one hand steers using the circle pad while the other uses the stylus for input. That means that without the upcoming accessory, lefties wouldn’t enjoy the same accessibility as righties as they’d be forced to use their offhand for the stylus.

Finally, before getting to the gallery of new images, Nintendo also added news of a pre-order bonus. If you reserve a copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising at select retailers (Nintendo did not indicate which retailers were selected), you’ll land a download code for the 3DS remastering of the original Kid Icarus.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is currently slated to launch for the Nintendo 3DS on March 23rd, 2012.
