Skyrim Live Action Trailer Teaches us about being Epic

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is set to release, along with like 10 billion other (minor exaggeration) fantastic looking games, in November. In preparation for that release date, and as a way to hype the ever-loving begeezus out of fans, Bethesda has created and launched the live action trailer you see above.

A village is about to be left burning and common peasants scamper for their lives as one man marches straight into the fury in order to do battle with a dragon. Even for those who have never experienced a game within the Elder Scrolls universe, the premise the live action video brings alone is enough to warrant at least some level of interest in the franchise.

Skyrim will launch for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It’s set to deliver a metric ton of gameplay time, so I’ll actually be saving this one for the gaming lull bound to happen in the opening months of 2012. There’s no way I can toss 100 hours at a game this season; however, those diehard Skyrim lovers among us probably can’t wait to do so on November 11th.

We’ll have more on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as it comes.
