8-bit Starcraft as Seen in 1984
You may have you eyes set on Blizzard’s July 24th worldwide release of Starcraft II but let’s not forget about our 8-bit gaming roots. According to Owen Dennis, the gameplay footage is from the original game “Starcraft” released back in 1984. His uncle worked for Activision/Blizzard back in the 80′s and he found it in his uncle’s closet next to an old Colecovision. Super retro but I can’t imagine playing any Starcraft prior to the RTS Korea hasn’t stopped playing since its release. If you ever wondered what a Terran nuke looks like it 8-bit glory, you’re prayers have been answered.
