Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD Is Leaked Ahead Of CES

Sony Ericsson is expected to unveil new Android smartphones at CES next February, but if you can’t wait until then, feast your eyes on the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD. You may have seen this baby kicking around the web before — previously codenamed the “Nozomi” — but these are the best shots we’ve seen so far.

Looks pretty good, doesn’t it? Wait until you see what’s inside: The device will reportedly pack a 4.3-inch 720p display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon Scorpion processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera that’s capable of full 1080p HD video recording.

Based on these images, it seems the device will also feature an HDMI port, but not an SD card slot, which means you may have to rely on its internal storage, which is rumored to come in 16GB and 32GB flavors. GSMArena also reports the device will ship with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, however, an update to Ice Cream Sandwich almost seems certain later on.

The device shares a couple of similarities with Apple’s iPhone: First, it uses the smaller micro SIM which debuted in the iPhone 4; and second, it would appear that its battery is not removable by its user.

Of course, these are all rumored features, so it’s possible they’ll change. But Sony will undoubtedly reveal all at CES in February.
