Free from the Sprint shackles, this week Palm released a juiced up version of their Pre smartphone, the Pre Plus.   This Verizon Wireless exclusive features double the RAM and storage space (16GB) of its predecessor and drops the lone hardware launch button in favor of a touch sensitive LED.  Another small design change, the Pre Plus now ships with an inductive back battery cover so you can use the phone with the Touchstone charger right  out-of-the-box.
