Google Voice for Android Updated, Allows for Multiple Text Recipients

Google Voice for Android has been updated, adding the ability to send text messages to multiple recipients as well as a few other updates.

Previously, if you were trying to use Google Voice to send text messages to several different people you would have to send the message to each one of those recipients individually. If you’re like me and try to coordinate friends and group efforts regularly, texting everyone individually gets old pretty fast.

The full change log from the Android Market notes three changes to Google Voice in the update:

  • Prefetch voicemails so they can be listened to even when there is no data coverage
  • Allow sending text messages to multiple recipients
  • Improved text message notification

You can snag the update from the Android Market now.

Anyone been missing the ability to text multiple people with Google Voice? Excited about the update?
