Ice Cream Sandwich Coming in Oct. or Nov. it Appears

Android Ice Cream SandwichEric Schmidt, former CEO of Google, and now the company’s Executive Chairman, was speaking at a conference in San Francisco and may have accidentally let loose with when we can expect Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Speaking at the Dreamforce conference, Mr. Schmidt said:

We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October – November, which everyone’s really excited about.

Well, it seems that Mr. Schmidt is also puzzled by the names of various versions of Android like the rest of the world.

Our guess is the release is going to be closer to the end of October as opposed to the beginning, and this fits in nicely with the release dates we’ve been hearing for the Nexus Prime.  Of course none of this is firm as of yet, but it looks like we’re about to be given a tasty, frozen, ice creamy treat this fall.

Are you excited for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich?
