Honey, Apple Shrunk the Galaxy S

By Mike Perlman on August 19, 2011 in Android, Apple, iPhone, Phones, Samsung

Oh, Apple. First the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and now the Samsung Galaxy S. Who’s the next culprit on your flawed-evidence Photochop rampage? Perhaps your legal team of Scallywag, Swindler, Pennypinch, and Moneygrub, Attorneys at Law, can type the Samsung logo in your signature Myriad font and sue them for that as well?

The Apple legal gumshoes at Dutch tech site Webwereld uncovered another smoking gun in Apple’s legal case, and this time the Samsung Galaxy SX is the victim. In the same fashion Jobs’ rabid pack of legal stooges Photochopped an image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to look identical to the iPad 2, they have also proceeded to manipulate an image of the Galaxy S to look identical to the iPhone 3Gs.

The only catch here is that in reality, a place Apple seldom visits, the Samsung Galaxy S is significantly taller than the iPhone 3Gs, as pictured below.

Also, look at how the image of the Galaxy S depicts the OS as defaulting to the Applications menu, when in reality it’s the seven Home screens with customizable widgets that should be featured, pictured to the far right. Apple seems to think the judge of the Dutch court they are fighting this in is bereft of a brain, but the company cannot put it past the relentless armies of tech journalists who salivate over scrumptious bones of news like this. But we’re not the only ones who are catching on:

“It surprises me that for the second time incorrect presentations of a Samsung product emerge in photographic evidence filed in litigation,” says Mark Krul, a dutch lawyer who specializes in IT and intellectual property law. “This is not appropriate and undermines Apple’s credibility both inside and outside the court room.”

Mr. Jobs, we are disappointed in you, yet again.
