BuffaloBuzz Episode 14: Does the Playstation Move You?

The BuffaloBuzz with Winston Sih is back with another episode and this week, we take a look at:

  1. More BlackBerry Slider rumors.  The BlackBerry Slider rumors have been “sliding” around town for quite a while now and in the latest round, it includes side profile images of the smartphone.  Does it impress you? Does it disappoint you? Leave a comment below.
  2. The iPad battery replacement service from Apple has sparked quite a conversation among tech heads.  From Apple themselves they claim that: ”If your iPad requires service due to the battery’s diminished ability to hold an electrical charge, Apple will replace your iPad for a service fee.”  Compared to the iPhone service plan, ”If your iPhone requires service only because the battery’s ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, Apple will service your iPhone for a service fee.”
  3. Many are already aware of Google’s attempt to take over the world.  You can run, drive and now bike, but you can’t hide.  Google made an announcement Tuesday night on plans to add bike routing and maps to their Google Maps service.  During the National Bike Summit in Washington, Google plans on adding the “most requested addition to Google Maps” and cyclers can lookup directions between two points, and select “bicycling” from the menu that allows you to choose the method of getting to the destination (walking, driving, or public transit).  More details are available at http://maps.google.com/biking
  4. With Sony finally showing off the Playstation Move, it seems like it is time to ask if the company has truly done anything unique here, or are we just watching the game companies playing catch-up with Nintendo?  To read the rest of Sean Aune’s article, click here.
