Sure, ASUS‘ Windows 8 plans are getting plenty of attention, but it also seems to be going for the gusto with Ice Cream Sandwich. We already know that the original Transformer is going to receive this much-anticipated update, as will the Eee Pad Slider, and the Padfone will even launch with it in the early part of next year. Thanks to ASUS Germany, we also have confirmation this week that the quad-core Transformer Prime will be getting it too.

The upgrade date isn’t clear yet — all we know so far is that, when it lands on November 9, it will arrive with Honeycomb on board. But the company seems pretty dedicated to ensuring its users’ upgrade path, so it hopefully won’t take long for them to get their mitts on this next-gen Android software.
