Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update Coming For The Galaxy S And Galaxy Tab

Samsung will be offering an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread for Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab, and Galaxy Ace/Go/Fit/mini later this month. The update from Android 2.2 Froyo will roll out via Samsung’s device management software Kies, and will first hit the Galaxy S in the UK in mid-May, with other devices and countries to follow according to a “regional plan.”

The Gingerbread update brings with it

· Faster Performance – Multimedia content now has a lower CPU consumption rate, while support for more powerful 3D Graphics enables an enhanced mobile gaming experience.
· Upgraded Usability – The user interface has been improved, enabling faster access and control and a more intuitive user experience. Users will also benefit from improved copy-and-paste functionality.

Who’s excited about the update? What feature are you most looking forward to upgrading from Froyo to Gingerbread?
