1 Million+ Samsung Galaxy S Smartphones Sold

Samsung has reportedly shipped 1 million Galaxy S smartphones in the United States and growing, since their launch in mid-July, according to the company on Monday.

The Android-based devices’ success is said to be because of the aggressive advertising campaign and the company has advertised the Galaxy S smartphone on several major TV network shows.  Samsung also made the assertive decision to offer the Galaxy S through multiple carriers, which has helped to attract potential customers.

To clarify, Galaxy S is a line of Android smartphones, not a single device.  These models released so far have been the Samsung Captivate for AT&T; Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile; Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint; and Samsung Fascinate on Verizon Wireless.
