BlackBerry Users: BBM Music Lands In App World

BlackBerry owners take note: RIM just launched its BBM Music app today in the App World. Previously for beta zone customers only, this new BBM-based application allows users in the U.S., Canada and Australia to choose up to 50 songs of their own to enjoy and connect with friends, so they can also share their music. Premium accounts costs $5 per month, but there is a (rather weak) freebie account as well — it only lets users hear 30-minute music previews.

It’s an interesting idea: If users have access to more music by inviting others to join, then this thing has a big potential to go viral. They just need to launch in more countries… and perhaps drop that pesky limitation of just 25 songs to be swapped on a user profile.

What do you think, BB users? Could you see yourself signing up for this? Check out the official video, and then let us know.
