Samsung Files Patent Complaint Against Apple in France

iPad keyboardSamsung has filed a complaint in France against Apple, claiming the iPad and iPhone infringe on three of its patents. Rather than focusing on the design of the product like Apple has in its similar suits against Samsung, the company instead focused on the technology behind the devices.

The complaint was officially filed with the French court in July of this year and is expected to be heard by December.

A German judge recently blocked the sale of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab throughout the EU for violating patents owned by Apple. Apple also has a similar suit on the books attempting to block the sale of the Galaxy Tab as well as the Infuse 4G, Galaxy S 4G, and Droid Charge in the U.S.
