New 1080p Apple TV Being Shipped, May Arrive a Day Early

Apple TV - New - Chart - 480x480

The 1080p-capable Apple TV may not be as anticipated as the new iPad, but users still might be interested to hear the product has started to ship early. According to AppleInsider, some buyers are reporting that Apple has begun to send out shipping notifications, with a scheduled delivery through FedEx’s tracking system for Thursday, March 15. The upgraded Apple TV set-top box, which was announced just last week, will introduce a revamped UI, 1080p support, iTunes Match, Photo Stream and Genius features at the familiar $99 price point.

As much as we wish we could say the new iPad was being shipped early, it looks like we’ll still have to wait until Friday.
