iPhoto For iOS Nets Apple $5 Million in Ten Days

New iPad - iPhoto - 07Apple’s new iPhoto application is pretty great for editing on-the-go, and it seems many consumers were eager to try it out themselves. According to The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple, iPhoto has attracted more than 1 million unique users in only ten days of availability. Dalrymple said, “It’s important to note that figure is users, not downloads. It’s quite possible that one user downloaded the app multiple times, but Apple isn’t counting those, only the unique users.” Pretty impressive, but for Apple, this is just another feather in its cap.

Apple’s mobile iPhoto app includes multi-touch editing with professional-quality effects and a really awesome photo journal feature, among other options. At $4.99 a pop, the app has pulled in around $5 million in less than two weeks for the Cupertino company. Imagine what that figure will be at at the end of 2012.
