Are 150,000 iPhone 5 Units Being Assembled as You Read This?

Another cryptic and prattling DigiTimes report claims OEM manufacturer Foxconn Electronics has been assertedly tipping the production scale at 150,000 iPhone 5 units per day. According to this report, the Taiwanese Apple supplier is being fueled by lens maker Largan Precision, touch panel maker TPK Holding, reinforced glass supplier G-Tech Optoelectronics and battery vendors Simplo and Dynapack, which quells the queries surrounding the iPhone 5′s camera, touchscreen and battery suppliers.

At a rate that is sure to rival Mr. Wonka’s Oompa Loompas, this 150,000 iPhone 5-per-day output is expected to peak at 5-6 million units in September for initial release, climbing upward to a 22 million unit goal for the fourth quarter, according to the report. Sources also claimed that Apple suppliers will ship less iPhone 4 and CDMA iPhones during the final quarter of the year, which illuminates the theory that Apple is indeed releasing an iPhone 5 after all.
