iOS 5 Available October 12

Apple has announced that iOS 5 will be available as a free download on October 12.
Compatibility with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Gen, and all iPads.

Among iOS 5′s reported 200+ features are the following 10, which Apple spotlighted in its presentation this morning.

-Notifications
-iMessage
-Reminders
-Twitter integration with Photos, Maps, etc
-Newsstand
-Camera — access to it from lock screen, more controls plus photo editing
-Tabbed browsing
-Safari Reader
-Mail enhancements
-”PC-Free,” i.e. iCloud
