Are Apple Stores On The Way To Target?

Could Apple set up Apple Stores inside target locations? According to AppleInsider, the company plans to open 25 Apple Store locations inside existing Target stores; a move that would allow the company to expand into smaller metro areas.

According to AI’s sources, Apple will first launch 25 store-within-a-store locations across the United States in locations that currently can’t support an Apple Store of their own. If successful, it’s possible for the project to then expand to other Target locations.

Apple already sells a number of products including iPads and iPods at most Target locations. The store-within-a-store project would bring more products and also bring Apple specialists into the equation. Apple did a similar program for many years with CompUSA, and there are currently several store-within-a-stores set up in Best Buy locations across the United States.
