Apple Says Farewell to Steve Jobs with Memorial Service
Apple employees gathered outside the offices at 1 Infinite Loop today to say their final farewells to company co-founder & former-CEO, Steve Jobs.
Mr. Jobs passed away on October 5, and keeping with the way he lived his life, most activities surrounding his passing have been kept private. While CNET was able to obtain aerial footage of today’s event, the most public by far, it was still closed to those who worked at the Apple corporate offices or being viewed by simulcast for Apple employees around the world.
According to Twitter reports gathered up by MacRumors, speeches were given by current Apple CEO Tim Cook, Bill Campbell and former vice-president Al Gore, with musical performances being provided by Norah Jones and Coldplay.
