15 Million iPhone 5s Shipping in September?

15 million iPhone 5 units are rumored to be on the way from China. According to DigiTimes Apple has placed an order for the handsets with Taiwan-based notebook maker Pegatron Technology. It’s source also claims that the phone “does not seem to have any major update to the iPhone 4.”

Pegraton expanded its plants in 2010 with plans to make substantial amount of the CDMA iPhone. The handset was not as popular as originally anticipated, and the company only shipped 4 million units, taking a huge financial loss.

Rumors last week suggested that Apple may be releasing an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 5 come September. It’s possible that Pegatron is making the iPhone 4S, while the iPhone 5 is being assembled elsewhere.

What do you think? Will Apple release an iPhone 4S similar to the iPhone 4 and an iPhone 5, or is the phone Pegraton is making going to be the only release come September?
