Amazon Introduces Kindle Fire in New Commercial [Video]

Following its unveiling of the Kindle Fire yesterday, Amazon has posted a new TV commercial to YouTube that shows off the 7-inch tablet, which it says is “a Kindle for movies, music, web, games, and reading.”

The Kindle Fire does have its limitations, such as a lack of Bluetooth, no camera, and no microphone, but with a very friendly $199 price tag, the device has already been dubbed the iPad’s first real competition.

The new ad gives us a glimpse of the Kindle Fire’s awesome user interface, which has been optimized exclusively for the device. Although it is Android underneath, you wouldn’t recognize it on top. Amazon has perfected this “Bookshelf UI” for its first tablet, and first impressions of the device suggest the company has done a terrific job.

In my opinion, the Kindle Fire isn’t quite an “iPad killer,” however, it’s quite possibly the best alternative so far. For those who want a smaller device, that’s still capable of delivering a seamless experience for music, movies, games and web browsing, then the Kindle Fire is just perfect for less than $200.

If that commercial has got your mouth watering, you can pre-order the Kindle Fire now from Amazon, with its launch scheduled for November 15.

Will you be buying the Amazon Kindle Fire?
