Back in January, Samsung revealed that the Gear S2 would gain the ability to work with iPhones sometime this year. Now we may finally know when iOS compatibility will arrive.

A tweet from Tizen Cafe (via SamMobile) claims the update will hit at the end of March, along with a Gear Manager app for iOS. Samsung is apparently also planning a firmware update for the smartwatch. It’s unclear where this news comes from, but a screenshot looks like it might come from an online chat with Samsung customer service. (It’s in Korean, but you can check it out at the source link below.)

Using the Gear S2 with an iPhone will probably come with some limitations. Samsung Pay, for example, may not work when your watch is paired with an iOS device. Samsung will need to show iPhone users why they should buy the Gear S2 over the Apple Watch, too.
