Sony is expected to unleash its latest smartphone lineup early next month, with recent rumors suggesting we could see the Xperia Z4 and Z4 Ultra unveiled on Jan. 5. Now, a new leak from AndroidOrigin claims to reveal a few more details about the upcoming devices, including an alleged third member of the Z4 family.

It turns out Sony may also have a smaller Xperia Z4 Compact in the works, which should offer flagship specs in a slimmed down frame. The device will apparently pack a 4.7-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and enhanced stereo speakers. It should also be water-resistant and support wireless charging.

Meanwhile, the Xperia Z4 Ultra will allegedly sport a massive 6.44-inch Quad HD display, though previous reports suggest it could end up measuring in at a more manageable 5.9-inches. Otherwise we’re expecting similar specs to the Z4 Compact, though the Ultra could sport a much bigger battery, a 16-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of RAM and a stylus.

Unfortunately, there’s also some disappointing news. It sounds like the Z4 Ultra and Z4 Compact could be delayed, while Sony is apparently still planning to unveil the flagship Xperia Z4 and Z4 Tablet early next month. Android Origin claims the rest of the Z4 family could arrive in Q2 of 2015.

With so many new Sony devices on the way it might not be a bad idea to space things out a bit. Either way, we’re excited to see what Sony has planned for 2015 after releasing some really great devices this year.
