A new Android-powered HP 10 Plus tablet has appeared on Amazon.com ahead of any official unveiling from HP. The device sports a large Full HD display and relatively decent specifications, and prices start at just $279.99.
Sources have been expected HP to unveil a new line of Android tablets since back in July, but the company has been keeping its plans incredibly quiet. Even after the 10 Plus popped up on Amazon.com on Saturday, HP hasn’t said a word about it — which leads us to believe it probably wasn’t supposed to go on sale just yet.
But it’s there and available to purchase now. The device is packing a 10.1-inch 1080p display, an Allwinner A31 quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The 10 Plus also boasts a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 7,700mAh battery that promises 6 hours of use in between charges, and a microSD card slot.
The 10 Plus will ship running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and despite a few HP customizations, its software is pretty close to stock Android — as we’ve come to expect from HP devices. The device is in stock now and available with free shipping in the U.S. if you’re interested in picking one up.
