Sony just announced the Xperia T3, adding yet another handset to its Android lineup. With the Xperia T3 Sony is emphasizing its super-slim design and the stainless steel antenna that wraps around its edges, offering a premium feel for what’s likely to be a budget-friendly price.

The Xperia T3 comes equipped with a 5.3-inch 720p display, a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, a 2500mAh battery, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage with microSD support up to 32GB and LTE support. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with a few extra tweaks from Sony on top.

Like we said, Sony is emphasizing design over specs when it comes to the Xperia T3. The new handset is super thin and weighs just 148 grams despite its stainless steel frame. The back of the device is coated in a matte material for a sturdy feel, and comes in black, white or purple. Overall the T3 looks great, though we prefer the classic white or black to the somewhat gaudy purple option.

Sony says the Xperia T3 will see a global launch in July. The company hasn’t announced pricing, though we’re hoping it falls somewhere in the mid-range based on its internal hardware.
