The rumored LG G3 is still probably a few months away from launching, but it looks like the South Korean company has already designed the box it will use to sell the upcoming flagship handset. A photo of the alleged packaging for a gold-colored LG G3 was obtained today by The Verge.
Citing anonymous sources, The Verge claims the LG G3 really will come in gold, similar to recent flagship smartphones from Apple, Samsung and HTC. The golden iPhone 5s managed to pull off the look by using a few gold parts to highlight a mostly white design, while golden Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M8) models have largely been criticized for their gaudy appearance.
Based on the latest rumors the LG G3 will pack a massive a 5.5-inch display, while the company has already confirmed it will offer a 2560 × 1440-pixel resolution. The device may also come equipped with a 13-megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The Verge says the phone’s design will resemble the LG isai FL, which leaked online this week and revealed some extremely thin bezels and a sleek new design.
We won’t know anything about the LG G3 for sure until the company makes an official announcement, but at this point we’re starting to get a pretty clear idea of what the expect. LG’s upcoming smartphone already looks pretty impressive. Hopefully the device can live up to its growing hype.
