Yesterday’s pairing, the Nokia XL vs. the BlackBerry Z30, ended in a definitive win by the BlackBerry Z30 over the Nokia XL. While the XL looks like most other Nokia devices, and sports Android’s operating system, it certainly falls short of a flagship device. It appears the specs of the XL couldn’t compete against BlackBerry’s Z30 effort.

Today’s match up pits the HTC One vs. the LG G2. While we know the HTC One will likely get a refresh very shortly, it still has not been officially announced and it would be even harder to pit phones and specs against each other when we dont know what it is. That said, we still love the HTC One. Though the Moto X won the TechnoBuffalo’s Staff selection for phone of the year, the HTC One was a very close second.

The LG G2 sported one of the most gorgeous displays of any device we reviewed last year. Though the button placement is different, we thought the Knock feature was a really neat and interesting way to solve (and possibly improve) the button issue. In fact we were kind of wishing to see some aspect of it across Android devices, that and Moto X’s Google Assist features.

Which device do you see winning this round? The HTC One or the LG G2? You decide.

HTC One Review

The HTC One is the finest device we’ve ever seen from the Taiwan-based company, and it’s largely due to an incredible focus on design and the build quality down to every aspect of the phone. The device is crafted out a single block of aluminum, which means you have a uni-body design that feels solid as a brick. That means small joys, like enjoying the cool touch of metal when you pick up the phone to turn your alarm off in the morning.
