HTC is starting to build the hype for the All New HTC One, but it sure is going to make sure we’re teased to the edge of sanity first.
Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC released a video today entitled “HTC Technical Translations #1: BoomSound.” The video starts off innocently enough making fun of how technical jargon doesn’t make sense to consumers and the company wants to translate it into terms you can understand. In this first video it explains how BoomSound works. At around the 1:55 mark, however, the video takes a turn into getting us excited for HTC’s next flagship phone.
The HTC technician gets all excited and whips the All New HTC One out of his pocket, confirming its rumored name as he does so. Before you get too excited about actually seeing the device, though, be warned that it is covered in heavy pixelation, a point that they even make fun of towards the end of the video.
The takeaways from this video are:
- The All New HTC One name is confirmed
- The debut of the phone will indeed happen at the March 25 event in New York City and London
- The phone will have the BoomSound speakers
- We don’t think it will have the pixelation feature
As this video is labeled as “HTC Technical Translations #1” we’re guessing we will see more of these between now and March 25.
