Boost Mobile may soon add a new Android powerhouse to its stable. @Evleaks published an image on Monday of a device allegedly called the “Boost Max,” that also may hold the “ZTE Beast” moniker. We don’t have much to go off of in terms of specs, but the name at least suggests that the phone will have decent hardware for its price. After all, what good would an entry-level “Max” or “Beast” smartphone be?
Judging by the image alone, though, we imagine the phone has either a 720p or a 1080p display resolution. We can see that LTE support is indeed in tow – no surprise there – and that there’s an 8-megapixel camera with a single LED flash. The image may be fairly dated, at least if you judge the date on the weather icon, which says “12/1/2013,” and while we don’t have information on a release date, it looks like a fairly finished press image that’s otherwise ready for prime time.

ZTE unveiled the Iconic Phablet during CES 2014, and it looks like there are some design similarities here. Obviously we can’t say for sure without knowing any of the Boost Max specs, but it’s possible this is a version of that device. We expect to hear more in the coming days or weeks.
