Google Nexus 5-Camera App Settigns

That special Android 4.1.1 update for the Nexus 5 detailed earlier today is available to download from Google servers. As mentioned, the new software greatly improves the device’s camera, with more natural colors, faster white balancing, and better low-light performance all promised. Additionally, focusing is faster, while shutter lag has been addressed as well. We haven’t had time to toy around with the update yet, so we’re not quite sure just how improved the experience is, but we’ll definitely be investigating to see if Google’s claims are true.

The Nexus 5’s camera has been a relative thorn in the device’s side, but users can now rest easy knowing that the camera has been much improved. Google said the update will go out over-the-air starting today, but if you’re particularly impatient, you can download Android 4.4.1 directly from Google. For that $349 price, you can’t beat what the Nexus 5 has to offer off-contract, especially with the camera receiving some much-needed love. So how do the pictures look after the update?
