Apple just issued invites to a press event on October 22, as expected. The company will very likely introduce new iPads, including the iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2, in addition to refreshes to some of its Mac computers. At least, that’s what we’re expecting since the invite says “We still have a lot to cover.”
The latest rumors suggest we’ll definitely see new iPads, including an iPad 5 that takes design cues from the iPad mini and includes Apple’s new A7 processor. A Touch ID fingerprint sensor under the home button has also been rumored. Meanwhile, the iPad mini 2 is also expected to see a processor bump, though there have been varying reports as to whether or not we’ll see a new Retina Display. Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro with Retina Display may also receive and update with Intel’s new power efficient Haswell processors.
We’ll be covering the news here on October 22, so mark your calendars now.
