Sony has one last major surprise for the PlayStation 4, if these rumors are to be believed. The company is getting ready to reveal a virtual reality headset for the next gen console due this holiday.
Both CVG and Eurogamer‘s sources indicate that Sony is set to unveil its virtual reality headset during the Tokyo Game Show this month.
Word has it that the headset will function a lot like the Oculus Rift, and folks within Sony have supposedly been able to test the hardware on Drive Club. The virtual reality headset let’s players look around the driver seat of the cars in the game. It’s sort of a cockpit view feature.
As is always the case with stories like these, consider this news a rumor until you hear otherwise from an official outlet. The Tokyo Game Show kicks off in two weeks. Our own Ron Duwell will explore the show floor.
Stay tuned for more.
