Google updated its Google Glass augmented reality glasses on Monday. The new release includes fresh Google Now cards, new voice commands and the ability to control video.

The new Google Now Cards include reminders for reservations at restaurants, hotel check-ins, upcoming movies you’ve purchased tickets for and alerts for emergency weather situations in your area. New voice commands include “Take a note” and “Post an update,” two commands that originally made their debut in Evernote and Path, respectively. Finally, the video player for apps such as CNN now lets you rewind, move forward, pause and play.

The update is rolling out now and should start hitting Google Glass units in the coming days. Google typically updates Glass once a month, so we can’t wait to see what next month has in store.
