Samsung announced several new Windows 8 tablets, including the ATIV Book 9 Plus and ATIV Tab 3, back in June alongside a host of Galaxy S4-branded smartphones, but failed to mention when the devices would go on sale in the U.S. or how much they might cost. Now, almost two months later, we have our answer.
The ATIV Tab 3, which Samsung boasts is the world’s thinnest tablet running Windows 8 at just 8.2 millimeters, will hit stores on Sept. 1 starting at $699.99. The device comes equipped with a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768-pixel display, a 720p HD rear camera, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and 7-hour battery. It also comes bundled with a Bluetooth keyboard.
If you can’t wait until Sept., though, Samsung is accepting pre-orders for the ATIV Book 9 Plus on Aug. 18 starting at $1,399.99. The 13.3-inch tablet comes equipped with a super sharp 3,200 x 1,800-pixel Gorilla Glass display, a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 720p rear camera, and 7.5 hours of battery life.
