The HTC One Mini is all but confirmed at this point, and although the Taiwanese smartphone maker has yet to admit it’s developing a scaled-down version of its flagship aluminum handset we have a pretty good sense of what to expect thanks to leaked photos and specs of the device. Now, O2 Germany is claiming the Mini will land on August 3.

The Mini is rumored to feature a 4.3-inch 720p HD display (just 0.4 inches smaller than the flagship device) with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, as well as the same BoomSound stereo speaker grills and Beats Audio. The handset will likely run the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, though it’s unclear if it will feature HTC’s Sense 5 UI or an earlier software variant. It’s also unlikely the Mini will come equipped with the One’s IR blaster or the same quad-core processor.

We reached out to HTC regarding the alleged early August launch window, but the company declined to comment on the rumor.
